At Uppingham we board by philosophy to facilitate engagement in a rich array of co-curricular opportunities that is central to developing courageous, curious, compassionate, adaptable and passionate young people, ready to navigate their own path through life and to influence the world around them for the better. Extensive facilities inspire the learning environment. A state of the art, 17 lab science facility is complemented by an outstanding art and design faculty. Three music schools, a high spec sport centre, multiple libraries and two theatres are open seven days per week. Strong pastoral care is a feature of our 16 houses of up to 60 boarders. In-house dining affords opportunity for easy communication and support from resident house-parents, their assistants, two house matrons and multiple tutors who help foster individual learning programmes.
