Set in the beautiful town of Uppingham, our extensive grounds and facilities are a blend of ancient and modern, embracing the best of traditions whilst remaining future facing and outward looking. Academic results are strong in arts, sciences and humanities and complementing these is a high-quality timetable of co-curricular opportunity. Music is exceptionally vibrant, with unrivalled facilities and a large department of fifty staff across three Music Schools. Art, drama and design and technology are also strong and housed in high quality departments, open for use by all. A well-equipped large and modern Sports Centre highlights a commitment to providing the best for pupils who enjoy hockey, rugby, cricket, athletics, netball, tennis, cricket, cross-country and badminton amongst our major sports. Entrepreneurship is fostered in our wide-ranging programme. Outstanding facilities attract high quality staff, involved with student activities that extend into busy weekends. Pupils work, sleep and eat their meals in one of 15 boarding houses. Pastoral care is well structured and the tutoring system a particular forte helping ensure that our pupils are involved, confident and outgoing.
